A large Nigerian investor needed a transaction advisor to help with the competitive bidding and management takeover of thermal power plants constructed under the National Integrated Power Project (NIPP) and owned by the Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC).
Service Provided
DHInfrastructure conducted commercial, financial, and regulatory due diligence on the potential acquisition targets, including providing an overview of the Nigerian power market and the Nigerian gas sector. We reviewed power purchasing agreements (PPAs) and the gas supply arrangements in place for each of the thermal plants to be acquired. Where necessary, we advised on the viability of alternative gas supply.
